HUBUNGAN LATIHAN BERJALAN DENGAN KEJADIAN HIPERTENSI
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Hypertension is a major public health issue that significantly increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. This literature review aims to analyze the relationship between walking exercise and blood pressure control in individuals with hypertension, using data gathered from national and international journals. A systematic literature review method was employed by collecting and evaluating findings from various reputable sources. The studies reviewed indicate that regular walking exercise can reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive individuals. For example, a study conducted in Padangsidimpuan City demonstrated that a 30-minute walking program effectively lowered blood pressure in patients with controlled hypertension. Similarly, research at Rawang Community Health Center found that individuals who engaged in regular 30-minute walking sessions experienced better blood pressure control. Overall, this review confirms that walking is an effective non-pharmacological intervention for managing hypertension. Therefore, it is recommended that individuals with hypertension consider incorporating regular walking exercises into their daily routine as part of a comprehensive health management plan.
