ABSTRACT

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia (elevated blood sugar levels) resulting from abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. The Cerdik Program is an effort to prevent DM complications, especially in the elderly. The purpose of this study is to develop a Cerdik educational video as an effort to prevent DM complications to improve respondents' knowledge and attitudes. This research is a Quasi Experimental Research, with a Pre and Post Test Research design with Control Group Design. Furthermore, measuring the influence (Increase) of Knowledge and Attitudes Pre and Post Experiment. Data collection was obtained from Filling Out Questionnaires. This research was conducted by Researchers in July 2025 with 40 Participants. The results of this study show that there is an increase in knowledge with an average increase in score of 31 with a p value of 0.03 meaning that there is a difference in knowledge before and after providing education with CERDIK. For attitudes, an average score difference of 15.35 with a p value of 0.00 means that there is a difference in attitudes before and after providing education with clever videos. It is recommended that health workers use this video as a medium in health promotion.
